Supes Could Approve Resort Today

Tuolumne County Supervisors today could approve a proposed $10 million resort near Yosemite National Park.

Back in May, Board Chairman Mark Thornton came out against the proposed Yosemite Rush Creek Resort, mainly because he says it will put a major strain on emergency services in the Groveland area. He says the nearest ambulance station is about 25 minutes from the proposed site. Thornton says that if there´s a call for emergency service at the resort, it could put the ambulance out of the system for around two hours.

If approved, the resort would include a large hotel and cabins, a conference hall and a restaurant and bar.
