Fair Runs ends Sunday

Well, the 2004 Mother Lode Fair is just about history…but Sunday night offers a lot of entertainment until the gates close at midnight tonight.

Last night, brought the Redliner truck pulls to the grandstands with smokin´ screaming modified trucks and tractors. Lydia Pense and Cold Blood took the main stage, offer their Bay Area-style of funk and blues.. The annual Tuolumne County tradition was the Junior Livestock Auction last night as well. It attracted bidders for hundreds of 4-H and FFA project animals.

But it´s not over yet.

Tonight´s big draw is the Sonora Volunteer Fire Department Destruction Derby which began at 5 p.m. Then a 7 p.m. it´s the final round of judging and performances for the Mother Lode Fair Idol on the Community Stage.

If you want more live music, the disco funk music of Busta-Groove takes the main fair stage at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. tonight. The carnival and grounds will be open until at midnight tonight.
