The names of the people involved in Friday afternoon´s accident have been released.
64-year-old Harold Yohkum of Redwood City… was airlifted to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto with head injuries.
His wife, 61-year-old Judy Yohkum, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center.
The CHP says the accident occurred when Yohkum was trying to make a U-turn in front of Mother Lode Motors.
Yohkum´s SUV apparently turned in front of a 2003 Ford pickup driven by 26-year-old Matthew Williams of Sonora.
Rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to cut Yohkum out of the SUV.
He´s reportedly in stable condition at Doctor´s Medical Center in Modesto.
