Warning For Burson Residents

Sponsored by:

State fire officials are warning residents of the Valley Springs, Burson area to be wary of falling trees and limbs in the wake of the Pattison Complex fire. The weekend blaze may have weakened tree bases and root systems, which could cause trees or branches to come down when the wind blows.

A trust fund has been set up for the victims of the Pattison Complex Fire in Calaveras County.

Seventeen homes near Valley Springs were destroyed by the fire sparked by a burning RV that spread into the surrounding grass. Many families loss everything in the fire. Others are without power or water at this time.

In addition, three homes sustained damage, 45 outbuildings and 50 vehicles destroyed in the fire which blackened 2,700 acres.

The Burson Fire Trust Fund is now set up at El Dorado Savings Bank. Contact the bank in San Andreas for more information.
