Election Day Hits Tomorrow

Sponsored by:

The clock is now counting down to Election Day, tomorrow, the Second of November.

“For this November election, our voter registration totals are higher than they´ve ever been,” says Tuolumne County Elections Clerk Tim Johnson.

And Secretary of State Kevin Shelley feels similarly. He says a record 12 million California voters may go to the polls Tuesday.

If so, that would mean a 73 percent turnout for the presidential race.

Shelley is making the prediction after tallying a record 16-point-five million voter registrations.

A 73 percent turnout would be one of the highest voting rates in 20 years — and three percent higher than the 2000 presidential contest.
