Calaveras County Board Hopefuls Face-off

Big turnout for last night´s Calaveras County District 2 supervisor candidate forum in Mokelumne Hill.
Sponsored by the Calaveras Unified Educators Association and the Calaveras Enterprise newspaper, the forum spotlighted all six candidates running the the one seat on the board.
After presentations by the board hopefuls, the candidates fielded questions on topics such as helping local schools, possible tax increases, county development and improved response times for sheriff deputies.
Tonight, the Calaveras County District 4 supervisor candidates face off in a similar forum, this time in Angels Camp at the Foothill Village retirement center, off Highway 4 starting at 7 p.m.
