Weekend Events Keep Motherlode Residents Busy

Another weekend full of events in the Motherlode is almost upon us.
Tomorrow is the Vernal Equinox… the first day of Spring.
Murphys Irish Days kicks off tomorrow morning at 10am, with a parade along the historic Main Street in Murphys.
Bowlers can do their thing for charity Saturday at the Sonora Family Bowl. The United Way´s 7th Annual Bowl-a-Thon will raise funds to help 14 agencies in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
In Angels Camp Saturday and Sunday, hobbyists and rock collectors will converge on the Calaveras County Fairgrounds, for the 28th Annual Calaveras Gem and Mineral Show.
And the Calaveras County Arts Council will present the Fresno Ballet. It happens Sunday afternoon at Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp starting at 3pm.
