Oakdale Police Shoot, Kill Man After Chase

An Oakdale police officer shot and killed a suspected drunken driver on second Avenue last night after the man repeatedly drove his Chevy truck into police cars during a high speed chase through town.
Reports say the driver had sped through a number of residential street narrowly missing several people
Authorities have not released the name of the driver, said to be in his late 20s or early 30s and not a local resident. A passenger in the truck was taken into custody.
Police also withheld names of officers involved in the shooting incident.
