Wesson Murder Trial Pushed Back To August

Sponsored by:

A man accused of killing nine of his children reportedly had no gunshot residue on his hands when he was arrested outside his home in Fresno, California.

The Fresno Bee reports the claim is included is in defense documents filed with the court.

The lack of residue could support Marcus Wesson´s claim that his daughter shot eight of the victims, then killed herself.

Wesson was arrested March 12th as he walked out of his home, covered in blood.

Prosecutors say Wesson preached a suicide pact and had total control over his family.

Wesson is also accused of 14 sex crimes, including rape, with all the victims believed to be family members.

A judge today granted a request by Wesson´s lawyer — opposed by Wesson himself — to delay his trial for two months, until August.

It gives his lawyer more time to prepare.
