Dodge Ridge Officials Excited About Tomorrow’s Opening

Sponsored by:

Pinecrest, CA — Officials at the Dodge Ridge Ski Area have announced they will be opening the mountain for skiing tomorrow.

Dodge Ridge spokesman Paul Jones says the first major storm of the season has dumped between 18 and 24 inches of new snow on the mountain, allowing the area to open before Christmas.

Jones says chairs five, seven and eight will be opened initially with chair three as the access chair.

The learning carpet will also be open. He adds that the resort´s employees are working steadily to have the area open in the morning.

Jones says the resort is looking forward to a successful season despite the late opening.

He says the goal for the area is always to open before Christmas, which is the busiest time of the season. Last year the resort opened on October 30th.
