Poll Says Three More Ballot Measures Losing

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — New Field Poll results out today show that California voters are increasingly leaning toward rejecting three ballot measures, including two competing initiatives addressing drug discounts for the poor.

The two latest Field Polls show that a pharmaceutical-backed ad blitz is influencing how voters view the rival drug measures, Proposition 78 and 79, which are both trailing for the first time.

The drug industry has raised $80 million to defeat Proposition 79, which would force companies to discount drugs for uninsured Californians. Also for the first time, more voters appear to oppose Proposition 73 than support it.

The latest Field Poll shows the abortion notification measure losing 49 percent to 41 percent.
