Zero Tolerance Expands To Six Counties Along Highway 49

San Andreas, CA — CHP area officers from Grass Valley to San Andreas, spanning a total of six counties, will be participating in “Zero Tolerance” for traffic law enforcement on State Route 49 tomorrow.
The enforcement effort will involve a number of law enforcement agencies including CHP officers, various Police Departments and County Sheriff´s Deputies. CHP airplanes and helicopters will be in the air to assist officers in the ongoing effort.
The purpose of the Zero Tolerance effort is to bring awareness to the issue of unsafe driving. Special emphasis will be placed on violations known as Primary Collision Factors, such as speeding, following too closely, unsafe lane changes, and DUI.
