Sonora, CA — Seven people are facing numerous charges after being booked into the Tuolumne County Jail yesterday.

Members of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department´s Narcotics Team, assisted by a Deputy Probation Officer, conducted probation searches at a number of locations suspected of housing persons involved in narcotics and other offenses.

Officials say during the course of the searches, quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and other paraphernalia and contraband were recovered. Also recovered was a rifle in the possession of a felon.

At another home a teenage child, whose mother is a suspected methamphetamine user, was taken into temporary custody. Deputies state that out of the eight persons contacted who were staying at these residences, seven were found to be involved in fresh, narcotics related charges.

An eighth person was released without being charged with anything. All seven suspects were transported and booked to their charges at the county jail.
