New Deputy Sworn In To Sheriff’s Department

Sonora, CA — The Sheriff´s Department is expanding its work force by adding several new employees to work in various departments.
Three people were sworn in yesterday including a booking clerk, a woman to work in dispatch, and 23-year-old Alex Rivera, a new Deputy from Modesto.
Under sheriff Lee Sanford also presented Corporal Dan Crow with a commendation for saving a child from drowning while he was off duty.
Sanford says Crow was instrumental in saving the victims life without regard for his personal safety. Sanford says there is also another Deputy who will be sworn in next week.
