Thousands Of Electronics Are Headed Out Of The Mother Lode

Sonora, CA — Truckloads of Sonora area electronics are on their way to be recycled at a plant up north. Hundreds of cars lined Camage drive over the weekend, waiting to unload computers, televisions, and other types of E-Waste.
The Sonora Sunrise Rotary Club in conjunction with State qualified collector Acquisitions organized the environmental event to help get hazardous materials out of the Mother Lode.
Jake Cherry with Acquisitions says the E-Waste is separated into categories when it reaches the recycling yard. Cherry says the event was an overall success and he has been traveling throughout California collecting recyclables.
