Fire Burns One Structure And Threatens More

Mt. Knight, CA — There is a fire on private land near the Stanislaus National Forest.
It is currently 5 acres and there is one structure fully involved and others threatened in the Mt. Knight area, which is 10 miles northeast of Columbia.
Forest Service spokesman Pat Kaunert says it is a full dispatch with the aid of the CDF as well as the Forest units.
The fire is spreading at a moderate speed and firefighters are on the scene trying to get containment. They have cut a dozer line around the fire and expect to be working through the night
