One Woman Is Dead Following Car Accident In Groveland Tuesday

Groveland, CA — Two women were traveling westbound on Second Garrotte Road in a 1967 Chevy Camaro just before 11:30 in the morning when the car left the road and hit a tree.
Police say the driver was exceeding the speed limit along the descending narrow dirt and mud roadway.
No one in the car wore a seatbelt. The 58-year-old Angels Camp woman died at the scene.
The driver was medivaced to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
