Forecasters Concerned About Rising Water Levels

Sponsored by:

Undated — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Yosemite National Park due to warm weather melting the above average snowpack and recent rains in the area.

Officials have also issued flood warnings for parts of El Dorado and Placer Counties as well.

More rain is in the forecast as officials keep an eye on swelling rivers and lakes. Forecasters say water levels in Cascade and Yosemite Creeks, in addition to the Merced River, are dangerously high.

Yosemite Park officials have also closed all roads into Yosemite Valley, and shut down the east valley campgrounds.
