Cell Phone Tower Issue To Highlight Supervisors’ Meeting

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — That contentious cell phone tower issue will be discussed by the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors today during their weekly meeting at the County Administration Center.

The current ordinance prohibits the building of a cell phone tower or towers on residential property. That same ordinance calls for any towers constructed on business or agricultural properties to be at least 500 feet from any residential property.

Chamber of Commerce President and C.E.O. George Segarini is one individual who has led the charge for a change in relaxing the ordinance because he feels better cell phone coverage is needed in the county to attract businesses to the MotherLode.
