Mike Remmel Gets Support From Community

Tuolumne, CA– Mother Lode residents prove once again that this community will never stop giving.
Saturday, a car show was held for Mike Remmel, the CHP Officer who had both legs amputated after being struck by a vehicle in January on Highway 49. The event, put on by Sarah Truex, was filled with games for kids, a raffle, a display of classic cars, and some Outlaw´s Barbeque food to fill those stomachs.
Remmel says his recovery has been an up hill climb and he is eager to get back to work. He says his goal is to eventually get back in that patrol car, even if it´s just for a day.
