Sponsored by:

Big Oak Flat, CA — A Sonora area transient is facing a long list of charges following a violent attack in Big Oak Flat Monday night.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department says 20-year-old Johnny Eastman had attacked the occupants of a School St. home and left the area on foot.

Reports indicate Eastman had been making threats to one of the male occupants due to his relationship with a woman. The victims say while they were asleep, Eastman broke windows to enter the house.

Dressed all in black, wearing rubber gloves and carrying a three-foot metal pipe, he threatened to kill the man. After striking the victim with the pipe, Eastman was restrained by a friend of the victim who´d been staying at the house.

Eastman fled from the scene and was apprehended by deputies. He was transported and booked into the county jail for burglary, vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, and violation of a restraining order.
