Sonora, CA — Today is Good Friday, and numerous services and events are taking place across the Mother Lode today and throughout the weekend.
During the noon hour today, Calvary Chapel hosted a Good Friday Service at Courthouse Park in Sonora. They also had music and provided a free tri-tip lunch. April 24 is the latest date that Easter has fallen on since 1943. Easter is always between March 22 and April 25. It falls on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon. It will not be this late again until 2038.
