Coyote Sam Rides Again
Sonora, CA — Coyote Sam and his gang of misfits rode into Sonora Thursday afternoon.
It is a traditional event that surrounds the Mother Lode Roundup, which is coming up May 7-8. Sam’s arrival is in conjunction with the annual sponsors luncheon. Traffic was at a standstill in downtown Sonora for a brief period as Sam tried his best to put a stop to the Roundup.
The next big event is the Horsemanship Competition on April 30 at 10am at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. The Queen Pageant is Sunday, May 1st at 5pm at the Sonora Elks Lodge. The Band Review is Wednesday, May 4 at 6pm at Sonora High School. The Calcutta is Thursday, May 5th at 6pm at the Sheriff’s Posse Grounds. The Parade is Saturday May 7 at 10am, and the rodeo starts later in the day at 2pm at the Fairgrounds.
