Heavy Rain Prompts More Sand Bag Availability

Angels Camp, CA — While the stormy weather has already prompted Mother Lode road officials to set out several piles of sand for the public to use to protect against flooding, another location has been added to the list.
The Offices of Emergency Services in both Tuolumne and Calaveras counties gave a list and details regarding a total of thirteen facilities where the public can get sand, as reported here yesterday. Now the City of Angels Camp has added a location that is open 24/7 with free sandbags. It is located at the Angels Camp Police Department at 200 Monte Verda Street. Sand, bags and shovels will be available for use, but individuals will have to fill the bags.
