Randolph HolderThe decision by the California legislature and Governor Brown to ignore the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in their creation of the Electoral College could have unintended consequences. By joining in with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact to award all of California’s electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall national popular vote is fine so long as the winner is of the same party as the majority in Sacramento. But what’s the legislature going to do if a Republican wins the popular vote but not the majority vote in California?
