Kiplinger’s reports that the nation’s air is getting cleaner. Emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide have plunged 88% and 76% respectively since their 1997 peaks. Mercury and particulate emissions are down as well. Coal fired plants provide less than 30% of U.S. electricity as more utilize clean natural gas. Green new Deals only punish and hamstring America while allowing China and India and other developing nations to continue to be the bad actors on the global pollution stage.
