Something To Think About

The brand new juvenile detention center currently houses, on average, less than 5 juveniles supervised by 14 1/2 full time employs positions and has a proposed budget next year of $1.5 million costing around a million dollars more than what voters were told when the project was first proposed, that is unless neighboring counties send us their juveniles to house for them. We hope that the proposed jail, which is truly needed, and the courthouse are better thought out as other vital services are sure to be threatened. The taxpayer cannot afford otherwise.
