The Corte Madera, California-based company said it had profit of $2.33 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $2.49 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.74 per share.
The furniture and housewares company posted revenue of $640.8 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $642.7 million, falling short of Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $660.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in November, Restoration Hardware expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.15 to $1.33. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.19.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $624 million to $636 million for the fiscal third quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $648 million.
Restoration Hardware expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.35 to $7.75 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.49 billion to $2.52 billion.
Restoration Hardware shares have climbed 76 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $151.55, more than tripling in the last 12 months.
