Sonora, CA — Now may be the time to fill up on gas.
According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.26, an eight cent increase from two weeks ago.Officials say the price of gas has gone up about 71 cents per gallon from a year ago.
Officials say the reason for the increasing prices is due to the instability in oil, the threat of Mother Nature on production facilities, and the low value of the dollar in relation to other currencies. AAA assures motorists that the supply of gasoline in California looks to be plentiful despite previous refinery problems recently.
