Sonora, CA — Thousands of Tuolumne County residents now have power, after sitting in the heat for more than two hours Thursday afternoon.
PG&E officials are reporting that more than 3,400 of its customers lost power before 3:00pm.
Reports indicate the outage affected residents in the Twain Harte and Crystal Falls areas.
PG&E spokesman Mark Hendrickson says the outage was caused when a resident allowed the trimmings of a Cedar tree to land on and break two power poles.
