Calaveras County, CA — Drivers on Highway 26 will face major slow downs for the next few months as Caltrans begins work to realign a curve.
Beginning Thursday, the work will take place between the Calaveras River Bridge and Duck Creek Bridge north of Escalon-Bellota Road.
Through October, 20-minute delays should be expected Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Caltrans says motorists should use alternative routes when possible.
The $3 million project is being done by Granite Construction of Stockton.
