Sacramento, CA — Gas prices have increased nearly 30 cents a gallon in the last month and could continue to rise, according to the latest report from AAA.
Concern about Iran and Nigeria has boosted crude oil prices up to nearly $69 a barrel, which is the highest price for the raw material since Hurricane Katrina last fall.
A new report from the Energy Information Administration predicts gas prices will increase over the next few months.
Tropical storms that affect oil and gas production could make the situation even worse. The current average price in California is $2.86, up 29 cents from last month´s survey.
