Winter’s One Last Blast
Sonora, CA — The Sierra Nevada is being pounded with more snow, so much so that the National Weather Service has issued a Snow Advisory until 4:00am Saturday.
New snowfall accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are likely by tomorrow morning with the potential for up to 17 inches above 7,000 feet. The National Weather Service says snow levels will lower to three or four thousand feet today and bottom out between two and three thousand feet early Saturday.
As the cold and unstable air mass moves into the region, isolated afternoon thunderstorms may occur in the lower elevations today and tomorrow.
