Sacramento, CA — A new poll is showing that Governor Schwarzenegger is facing a tough re-election bid.
According to a survey by the Field Poll out today, just 37 percent of likely voters in the state are inclined to vote for Schwarzenegger in the next election.
The poll also shows that 47 percent of voters are not inclined to vote for the governor again. The rest were undecided.
But the results of today´s poll aren´t entirely bleak for the governor. The Field Poll also shows him running competitively against both Democrats vying for their party´s nomination in the June primary.
State Treasurer Phil Angelides and state Controller Steve Westly are largely unknown around the state. According to the poll, about two-thirds of voters had no opinion of either Democratic challenger.
