San Andreas, CA — With the population of Calaveras County growing, residents are asking local government to put a plan in place.
Hundreds of people gathered Monday during a work session for the Board of Supervisors regarding the General Plan.
Several people spoke out at the meeting asking for intelligent design, and updated community plans. County Staff says it will be difficult for them to make any headway on the General Plan with 10 positions vacant.
Most supervisors are interested in revising the decade old General Plan, however they are also focusing on filling Planning Department positions. The board is expected to review the General Plan options in six weeks.
