Mother Lode Views To Focus On Tuolumne County Suicide Rate
Sonora, CA — Coming up this weekend the 60 minute edition of Mother Lode Views will focus on the increasing rate of suicides in Tuolumne County.
The co-chair of the Suicide Task Force is County Heath Officer Dr. Todd Stolp who points out that 20 suicides were reported in 2006 while 13 have already been documented this year.
The Task Force is a proactive organization bent on educating the community on recognizing the symptoms of those who may be considering suicide. In addition a “hot line” has been established to obtain immediate help for those who may be suicidal.
In addition to Dr. Stolp, guests include the county´s Director of Behavioral Health Bea Readell, Friday Night Live´s Shana Monaco and Michael Olenchalk whose son Mikey took his own life a year ago September.
Mother Lode Views is aired on AM-1450 KVML Saturday morning at 10:30 and Sunday morning at 8:30. Mother Lode Views can also be heard on STAR 92.7 Sunday morning at nine o´clock and on Today´s Country, KKBN (93.5) at 10am.
