WWII Trainer Plane Clips P.G.& E. Tulloch Lake Power Lines

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department reports that a private plane clipped several power lines Sunday afternoon at 2:19 near the South Shore Point Cabana Campground at Tulloch Lake.

The plane has been described as a blue and white WWII vintage T-6 Texas trainer. The pilot has been contacted and will have to answer to the Federal Aviation Agency and P.G.& E. The plane suffered some wing damage. The pilot´s identity has yet to be released by investigating authorities.

Power was interrupted when the lines fell into Tulloch Lake. P.G.& E. deactivated the lines. At the same time the Tuolumne Boat Patrol has remained on the lake guiding crafts within the immediate vicinity.

P.G.& E. has confirmed that 127 customers have been affected by the outage. Full restoration is expected by midnight.
