Sonora, Ca — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the upper elevations of the Sierra Nevada.
It will go in effect at 5pm Saturday and continue until 3pm Sunday. Snowfall accumulations of one-to-two feet are possible over the higher elevations, with three-to-six inches possible down to around 5,500 ft. Winds around 40 mph could cause blowing snow and whiteout conditions in certain areas.
