Sonora, CA — Do you feel that Tuolumne County has too many potholes?
Resident Hope Hill does. She has created a new “Adopt a Pothole” program. Hill is a member of the Citizens Advisory Council for the Tuolumne County Transportation Council. She says,You have Friends of the Library, friends of this, friends of that, so we´ve got friends of the road.”
A fund has been set up at Mother Lode Bank in Sonora care of the non-profit Tuolumne County Business Incubators, Inc. Hill is asking for tax deductible donations of $10. She notes that the money will not go to Tuolumne County´s General Fund. It will specifically be used by the Road Department to fix potholes. Already, Hill says theAdopt a Pothole” program has received over $200 in donations.
