“Most Wanted” Subject Captured Following A Tip

Jamestown, CA — 48 year old Robert Donald Charles was arrested by Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputies Friday evening minutes before nine o´clock following a tip.

Deputies received information that Charles was gambling at a local casino. On his way to the casino, Deputy Robert Nikiforuk learned that Charles had just left the casino and was driving a red 1991 Toyota Tacoma pickup. Nikiforuk spotted the vehicle on Hwy 108 near Jamestown and arrested Charles without incident.

Charles was charged with several bench warrants: burglary, theft from an elder, grand theft and forgery. He is being held in the Tuolumne County Jail on $140,000 bail.

Charles was the Sonora Police Department´s “Most Wanted” subject two weeks ago.
