Stanford, CA — With the closing of his chest cavity, another major milestone has been reached in the recovery process of three month old Bryce Daniel Milnik.
Here´s the latest update from the Milnik family;

Just a quick update tonight… Bryce was able to have his chest closed today . It took them a little longer than anticipated due to a collapsed upper lung-lobe that had to be suctioned, and the removal of some old lines to the heart and the placement of some new lines to the heart (important for doing future cath biopsies). Altogether he still has a lot of swelling which will hopefully be able to come down over the next couple of weeks, all depending on how well his kidneys are functioning. So his chest is closed up and so far there aren´t any signs of infection, although they won´t fully know for another few days and hopefully they will never have to open his chest ever again.
