Los Angeles, Ca — Although officials are getting a good handle on the multiple fires that broke out last week in the Los Angeles area, many resources from the CAL Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras unit remain down south.
Information Officer Lisa Williams says that two CAL Fire strike teams of engines are out (10 engines), a local government strike team (five engines) and two strike teams of hand crews (four trucks carrying fire trained prisoners).
The 30,000 acre Freeway Complex Fire near Riverside is 100% contained, the 1,900 acre Tea Fire in Santa Barbara County is 100% contained and the 11,000 acre Sayre Fire in Los Angeles County is 98% contained.
Williams says that it is not known how long the local resources will remain down south.
