Firefighters Closing In On Full Containment Of Southern California Fires

Sacramento, CA — Two of the three southern California fires have reached 100 percent containment.

The Freeway Complex Fire in Orange and Riverside counties is now 100 percent contained. 187 residences have been destroyed. Acreage burned; 30,305. Cause has yet to be determined. Cost to date; $16.1 million.

The Sayre Fire in Los Angeles County is 95 percent contained. Acreage burned: 11,262.

And the 1,940 acre Tea Fire in Santa Barbara County is 100 percent contained. 210 homes were destroyed by embers left over from a bon fire set by college students.
