Foresta Big Meadow Fire Reaches 700 Acres

Yosemite National Park, CA — According to Fire Information Officer Gary Wuchner the Foresta Big Meadow Fire has now reached 700 acres.

398 personnel are on site and that included 15 hand crews with 20 persons per crew. In addition there are 24 engines, three helicopters and four air tankers.

The fire is listed at 10 percent contained.

Wuchner adds there is still another fire. This one is the 10 acre West Fire below Yosemite West. It is not known if the West Fire is a spot fire or a single fire by itself.
