Sonora, CA — This weekend’s Mother Lode Views will focus on the purpose of the American Stewards of Liberty and how this organization might play a key role in settling potential land use disputes in Tuolumne County.
A.S.L. President Fred Kelly Grant of Boise, ID will discuss the goal of the organization formed through the merger of the Stewards of the Range and the American Land Foundation.
A.S.L. has created the Coordination Mandate which brings federal, state and local entities together to solve disputes and misunderstandings over land use.
Grant will share a number of success stories regarding highly contentious issues that were settled without costly litigation.
Teri Murrison will comment on why the Coordination Mandate is needed in Tuolumne County. In addition she will provide an example of where the Mandate might be used to head off conflicting viewpoints.
