Angels Camp, CA — The long awaited Angels Camp bypass will enjoy its unofficial opening Tuesday July 21st at 4pm.
According to Tim McSorley of the Calaveras Council of Governments there will be a fun run, music, vendors with plenty of food and t-shirts commemerating the long awaited event.
This event will run from 4-7pm.
Wednesday July 22nd’s official opening ribbon cutting ceremony will get underway at 10am. McSorley says Governor Schwarzenegger has been invited but there has been no response from Sacramento.
Serving as the general contractor Teichert Construction of Stockton finished the project approximately 18 months early and $5-6 million under budget.
