Sonora, CA — First District Republican State Senator Dave Cox will talk about what he feels needs to be done to balance the growing budget deficit on this weekend’s Mother Lode Views.
“The number one priority of this legislature ought to be to get the economy moving back in the right direction,” says Cox. “California is a state that litigates, taxes and regulates too much, and as a result we have people that are going someplace else.”
The budget deficit is over $24 billion, and Cox says all potential cuts need to be on the table and up for debate.
Cox also states during the show that he will endorse former Ebay Executive Meg Whitman in the upcoming Governors race. “The more I see her, the more I like her,” says Cox. “She is a very strong businesswoman and an incredibly bright person.”
Mother Lode Views can be heard on AM-1450 KVML Saturday at 9:30am and Sunday at 8:30am. Mother Lode Views can also be heard Sunday on Today’s Country 93.5 KKBN at 8am and an hour later on STAR 92.7.
