R.A.C. Will Begin Discussing Secure Rural Schools Funding
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Resource Advisory Committee (R.A.C.) will meet next week to begin the process of awarding funds to local stewardship causes.
Of the $2.3 million allocated to Tuolumne County in 2008 from the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act, $255,000 was set aside for R.A.C. to distribute to local projects.
A public meeting is set for Monday, February 2nd from noon-3pm at the Sonora Fire Station at 201 S. Shepherd St.
The organization will review new legislation, talk about last year’s projects and discuss whether to partner with the R.A.C. in Mariposa County.
