School Administrators Will Talk Budget Cuts
Sonora, CA — The new state budget approved by lawmakers will have an effect on local schools.
A panel of administrators will discuss how schools are planning to deal with a reduction in state funding. There will also be talk about a proposal to reduce the school year from 180 to 175 days, and whether schools can expect to receive money from the recently approved Federal Stimulus Package.
Guests on this weekend’s Mother Lode Views will include Tuolumne County Schools Superintendent Joe Silva, Twain Harte-Summerville Superintendent Dr. John Keiter and Kathy Northington with Calaveras County Schools.
