Update at 6:02pm: A report of a fire in the Murphys area that drew a full response was contained to a spot.
According to CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore, the containment came within minutes of units’ arrival onscene. The cause remains under investigation.
Original Post at 5:53pm: San Andreas, CA — Columbia aircraft and multiple ground units were dispatched shortly after 5:30 p.m. for a reported fire in the 790 block of Murphys Creek Road near Bret Harte Drive.
